CONFESSIONS OF A REIKI MASTER
An Interview with Dena Zocher Dena Zocher first experienced hands-on energy healing while visiting her sister-in-law in the hospital, where she lay in a coma from a gun-shot wound to the brainstem. Feeling a strong connection after weeks of massaging her sister’s atrophying limbs, Dena felt a powerful intuitive pull to try hands-on healing energy. She laid hands on her sister’s chakra centers with healing intention every day for several weeks. The woman decided to stay in the body, emerged from the coma and lives independently today. Several years later, a Reiki practitioner helped Dena through stress and emotional issues arising from a hostile work environment at a corporation – Reiki sessions made her like Teflon to business politics and other environmental stressors. Remembering the experience with her sister, she realized she was called to learn Reiki and pass the healing on to others. She found her teacher in 2005, and has been practicing Reiki with passion and compassion ever since. |

Biography
Dena Zocher is a Reiki Master, urban shaman, and recognized domestic goddess. She has practiced Reiki since 2005, studied magic in theory and practice for over 25 years, and has a life-long fascination with exploring the many routes to healing and connecting with the Divine. In addition to her Reiki practice, Dena also presents workshops on Pragmatic Magic and Earth-based Spirituality, teaches self-healing classes, and gives intuitive readings. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in business from the University of Colorado. In her spare time, she makes a living writing revenue-generating marketing copy for high-tech enterprises and businesses focused on sustainability.
